Need some vise help

Hopefully this evening I'm going to head over to check out an old vise. I don't have a lot of experience with old vises so I was hoping you guys might be able to help me out. I don't have a lot of info on it other than the guy said it was large and very heavy :)

Anything that I need to look for specifically other than visible cracks and major slop in the screw?

I guess it depends on what you plan to use the vise for. Aside from looking for cracks, and play in the movable jaw. I would look at the jaws to see how they line up with one another if you plan on doing more precision work with it.
 
Just going by the pictures it looks like good old iron. When closed the jaws should be "toed-in" at the top, or at least parallel. If the jaws meet at the bottom before meeting at the top, the vise frame could be bent.
