First off new here, thanks for having me.

I currently, don't laugh, carry a folding razor blade knife for my day to day needs. I'm in construction, but all of my material comes in some sort of box, burlap bag, or roped together. Needing me to constantly cut something. What would be a bad ass knife I could carry. It would need to have a clip and be sharp as hell. Lightweight is midly important, and size needs to be around 3-4" closed.

Welcome to Bladeforums!

You should check out some of the Spyderco knives in ZDP-189 steel.
Caly 3
Stretch
Delica
Endura
Dragonfly

Some of those will exceed 4" closed. The Dragonfly are just over 3" closed and weigh 1.2 oz.
The ZDP-189 steel stays sharp a long time even with heavy use, and Spyderco come screaming sharp right out of the box.

Price is not a tremendous issue as I expected to spend anywhere from 200 to 600.
I also started peeling thru old posts, so far I like the endura, the spyderco automatic embassy, and the delta wave. More research to follow, oh I think I want a combo blade- half straight half serrated

I also work in the construction trade. My most used knife for general cutting and opening packaged material before installation is a serrated Tasman salt. The curved tip has also been very handy for scraping and cleaning things.

Hawkbill would great for those tasks. Given your budget, might be worth it to pick up a Tasman and another more conventional blade.

I would recommend a fully serrated Spyderco Pacific Salt. It will stay sharp for a really long time under the circumstances of your use.
