Need SS cap screws for my new BK2...

I went to Home Depot and Lowe's and nada. The length i need is in between what i could find at either places. I don't have a bench-vice to hold long ones down for an intricate hacksaw job.
Anyone know where to get those BK2 cap screws in SS at the same length as the existing ones?
Thanks.

i used some vise-grips and a hand rat-file and some patience. a little 800 grit paper at the end didn't hurt

course, there's any number of a thousand online vendors that probably have the right size, but it was too much effort.

I got some at Lowes and ground them done a bit to fit. I also got SS nylock nuts there too.

If you have a dremel with a diamond disk and some gloves,it will do the job.I had the same problem finding screws so I went to a marine supply store where they had all types of Stainless Steel fasteners.

I had no problem finding hard at a 'real' hardware store and not at a box store chain. Look for your local hardware store.

Oh and if you can't find any locally or online, I can go to my local hardware store, pick some up for you and mail them for the cost of them and a stamp..etc.

^Yeah, i used to commercial fish in Alaska back in the day. I was amazed at the hardware stores and what they had up in the Northwest. I went to a Western Auto in Juneau AK and couldn't believe all the good stuff they had. I bet finding SS fasteners of the right size up in your area is rather simple.
I'll look around at some other places but just cut them down if i have to...thanks guys.

Cool, Yeah there is a place three blocks from me that has them.

Been there, done that, with the stainless screws. 5/8" long will work for the BK2 , but 3/4" will go right to the top surface of the nylok nut when you tighten it up. This is because of the BK-2's extra thickness. My 5/8" long screws have worked fine so far though.

The local Ace Hardware store seems to have more sizes of ss hardware than either Home Depot or Lowes. I would check with them and the auto stores.
