Bit of a strange request this one... If it's inappropriate for the forum then I'll understand if it gets locked.

I'm trying to purchase a set of bootlaces. I'm after a set of Danner 72" laces in black, like these ones here:

They can't be bought in Australia and I can't find a company that stocks them that will ship to me. I've been using other types of laces but they are usually the wrong length or made of cotton fibres, instead of nylon, so they tend to break easily.

If someone in the US would like to buy me 2 sets and post them to me I'd be in your debt. Obviously I'm happy to pay for costs including the laces, postage and your time. I thought I'd ask on the Busse forum first as it's a community I feel I can trust. Thanks folks.

I know what you mean about their laces being uncommonly good quality ... I've had my Danner Arcadia's 28 years ( bought 1984 ) and have still got the original ones ! I have however had numerous eyelets replaced and am on my third soles. Around 1990 I decided to put aside their laces and went with extra long black paracord so I could wrap this around the tops enough times to enable a good flexible expansion of the boot by simply tucking in the lace under a few wrapped around loops. This helped when wearing the boots for lengthy periods tabbing in the hills as your feet/calves would swell. I just burned the ends of the paracord to seal the inner threads.

Maybe try this before paying such a large sum for laces ?

During the 1980's we were issued the most uncomfortable of high leg boots. They had a thick double welt down the back heel section. They also were hopeless with water. The Falklands had people suffering terrible foot rot. Everyone back then was looking for an ideal "private boot". I tried Lundhags, Scarpa, German issue para boots and then Danner's. Needless to say the Danner's worked the best ...
 
I own a new pair of these for my danner powerlines. They are lineman boots. Let me know if I can help you.

Hi Chris,

It looks as though the freindly hogs on this forum have got you covered. I love that about this place. Anyways if you really need something from the states in future and its a 'cost be damed' affair then you could try a buyers advocate. I've used both the links below and they worked fine.
