Need suggestions for a catch-all! What do YOU use?

Howdy! Okay, here's the thing. I come home at night, and I want to unload my crap into something. I mean, wallets, knives, watch, change,... You know, my stuff. Currently I'm using a rubbermaid bin with a lid, but I'd like something a little nicer since it sits out. I would prefer something with a lid and at least one drawer. Wood would be nice, but isn't a must. Any suggestions? Thanks!

It doesn't have any drawers, but I use a nice big wooden cigar box that I got a while back. It won't hold my lights, and isn't as nice as a fine wood chest, but it works for the time being.

I also have a cool 8-dralwer unit from IKEA (MOPPE mini-storage unit) that I stained and it looks very professional. Check it out at:

It works good for all my lights and other misc. gadgets. I put down some nice soft fabric on the drawer bottoms and it looks a lot more expensive than $10. You can also flip the drawers around and add drawer pulls to make it fit your decor better...

I wish I could afford the hand-made drawers I saw down at the local art gallery...$700! But man, they would be soooo nice! :cool:
 
When I get home, I just take everything that was in my pockets and empty it into the outer pocket of my briefcase (soft-side bag). Then I slide the bag between my night stand and bed. That way, if I need to get out of the house in a hurry due to an emergency, everything is contained in one spot. Just grab it and go. I realize that isn't what you are looking for, but you might consider something portable, rather than a display case.
 
I put my stuff in my fanny pack, the one with the snubbie. That way everything is together and if the need arises I can grab it and go.

Howdy! Thanks for all the replies so far! I hadn't thought about any of those, and the idea of staining the cabinet from Ikea never would have occured to me. Please keep the suggestions coming! If I have to get out in a hurry, that is why I'd want the catch-all, I'd like it to be something I can grab on my way out the door. I'm hoping to find something that's nicer than the rubbermaid, and it needs to be closed off a bit because I have a child and my wife demands that my knives be out of sight when they're not in my pocket. I agree with this wholeheartedly, but I would like something kind of nice because I don't like the look of the milk-white rubbermaid container. Something that looked more like furniture would be better because people wouldn't be immediately drawn to it and then see my knives. I hate explaining my hobby, and I don't live in the most enlightened area when it comes to knives. Anyhoo, thanks for the suggestions and please keep them coming!
