Need suggestions

Howdy all,

I currently carry a Coast stainless folding knife. However, I'm looking to upgrade. I have a few requirements. It needs:
1. Good steel (AUS 8 or better)
2. 3 inch blade or shorter
3. Have a pocket clip
4. Black handle and coated blade
5. Thumb Stud
6. Partially serrated blade
7. Scandi or Hollow grind
8. Clip point preferred.
9. Under $30

Is my list unrealistic? I like the Cold Steel Mini Ak 47 but it's a bit to expensive. I also like the SOG Access Card however it has no thumb stud.

Any suggestions would be helpful.
 
Sounds like you're in the market for a modern folder. I suspect that your post will get moved to the "General" sub forum.
 
CRKT Carson M16 or M21 series. You'll have to look a little, but they retail for just a hair under your price point, although S&H may add some.

The M-series are spear points, though.

Adding twenty dollars to your ceiling will open up many other choices. You will also have access to slightly higher quality knives.

The 'Bay is a possibility, if you're willing to wait for the right knife to come up. As always, it's Buyer Beware....
 
Maybe look at the Boker Plus line. I like the CLB designs, especially the Hyper and Trance.

My reccomendation if your can pass on the thumbstud would be a spyderco delica. If the thumb-stud is a must the mini-griptillian is a great knife although a bit more expensive.
