You folks are a bad influence,;)
Been going through my knife cupboard & found a few forgotten gems:cool:

Here's 1 I've had for years, received in trade with others. An imperial 2 blade.

Does anyone know anything about it? Never been used & I haven't seen another.
Might slip in my pocket.

Any info would be appreciated.
Thanks
Mitch

My guess is that it is an inexpensive promotional knife of the National Rifle Association given to people who join or renew their membership. Cool knife.

Imperial Ireland, this grooved black plastic was used In the late 90's and early 2000's.

Looks like a good user, I know the Imperial Ireland skinner my dad bought me as a kid was.
It took and heald a pretty decent edge.

Thanks gents

I gave it a hone earlier. Sharpened up easy.

According to catalog cuts, this was part of their APEX series, and first showed up around 1988

Oh man I forgot about the little keychain lockback I saw NIB that was from 1990.

I certainly didn't realize this series came out as early as '88 and that's good to know.

I didn't know it either, I had to look it up!

Prester is right.
The NRA gave them away when you joined. If I remember correctly they also offered a stockman like that at one time

I was debating whether to post a pic of my stockman (no evidence of NRA connection on mine), so thanks for the link, Kevin.;)

For some reason, the "shield" on these really appeals to me:

I really liked it too, I liked my skinner but the grind was way too thin for my utilitarian type uses as a kid.
I wish I still had it, but all I've got left is the multitool that came with it which doesn't have the same cool logo.

GT, course you should. I have no idea how the NRA 1 got to Oz.
Thanks for sharing.
