Need the PM2 experts opinion on this

I just received both these PM2's and would love your opinion on these. I do not believe either to be fake, but noticed a few things. The logos are in different positions. You will notice some of the logo's being visible while closed on one and not on the other and vice versa. The pocket clip is angled on the black one. The logos on the black one do not have that gold sheen to them like the satin blade does. Not sure if that is just because it is on a black blade. I would love your opinion on these. Sorry for he crappy pictures. Their is not much natural light today as it is rainy.

I would check the lanyard tubes to see if they're a fake. That's the most tell tale sign. Other wise i think you are fine because the text is probably different because one blade is coated. If you add a photo of the lanyard tubes im sure that could help clarify. Hope this helps

Ya know, maybe its just the camera angles, but something seems off with the satin one.

Don't like the fit-n-finish. The scales seem too high, not level with the liners. Are you sure the jimping angles backward? How about a pic of the lanyard holes?

I forgot to mention this. The lanyard tubes on both are chamfered like they should be.

The lanyard holes are correct, but I will post a picture of them tomorrow when I have some proper lighting. What exactly do you mean about the scales not being level with the liners? The scales look identical on both of these. Any pictures to explain what you mean? Thank you everyone.

I just noticed the Edge-U-Cation is different.

Could it be because of different date codes?

Black on Black: LN
Black on Satin : KN

I just picked up a new Para from National and noticed a few differences as well - like the plunge line being far more angled, forward. I think it's just slight variations between production runs. I'm sure your para(s) are good to go.

Thanks everyone. I was not to worried about them being fake as I ordered them from a pretty reputable dealer. I was just wondering about the variation in a few things between the two. I am pretty well versed on how to spot fake PM2's, but its always nice to get someone else opinion on these things.

On your 2nd from the bottom pic, you can see the jimping on the liners on the black but not on the satin. But it's just the camera angle cuz you can see the sides of the satin's spydyhole but not on the black so the camera is centered over the black and at an angle to the satin.

All my Edge-U-Cation pages from N and M years look the same on mine. The older ones aren't as 'bright', yellowing from age.

My black PM2 looks like your black PM2. Maybe it's just seeing them side-by-side that makes the satin's finish seem 'off'.

I meant the wording is different.

Those are really good detailed pics of awesome knives, PM2's are incredible. Nice knives you have there.

Just by looking at the DLC coating, it's real keep in mind that there'a always going to be some light discrepancies.

Great pics. Love macro shots of knives. Wish my edges were as clean as yours from the factory.

Funny because I thought the edge on the black one is a bit uneven.

I wish I actually had a nice camera. You wouldn't believe the piece of crap I took these pictures with. I really need to get a proper camera so I can take some good pictures.

I actually wrote the dealer I bought these from and he confirmed they purchase all Spyderco's directly from Spyderco so these are most definitely legit as I thought they were.
