Need thread pattern for the pivot bolt on Endura 4

I managed to lose the main screw for the D pivot on my endura 4. I guess I had it too lose or something and it fell out.

I went to a specialty nut and bolt store and gave the guy the piece. He was trying everything from metric to standard that he had but all the ones that had the right diameter would not thread in very far.

Is there some proprietary thread count? I don't think I screwed up the threads on the bolt or anything...

And on a side note anyone know the smaller handle screw sizes? I stripped one or two so I was going to maybe replace them all with a different type of screw.

Thanks for the help.

If I had a bunch of stripped screws on a E4, I would buy a Endura Rebuild kit from Spyderco. I think they run right at $20 and include new liners. I don't know the thread pitch and length to help you out, but I can say with confidence that the screws are metric. As you probably know, this knife is made in Japan.

I made the chart below over on Spyderco forums. Found some odd sizes for the Endura/ Delica. Note this is only for the Clips
Here is the thread I posted it in

Here is the clip srews sizes from my knives. I am not interested in taking apart all my knives to find pivot and scale screw sizes. Use this info at your own risk. Some models could use different threads over time. TL means thread locker. MD means major diameter(O.D. of thread)

Caly3 G10 wire clip 4-40x.205"
bright SS T9 torx TL .110"MD

Calypso Jr. ZDP black FRN M2.0x.4x2.87mm
black phillips TL 1.9mm MD

Endura E2 SS M2.0x.4x3mm
bright SS phillips (TL unknown) 1.93mm MD

Manix full size black 2-56x.2"
black phillips no TL .083" MD

Manix 2 G10 2-56x.2"
bright SS T9 torx no TL forgot to write down MD

Meerkat Seki model wire clip 2-56x.150"
bright SS T6 torx TL .084" MD

Military black G10 2-56x.175"
bright SS phillips some TL .084" MD

Rookie black G10 M2.5x.45x5mm
black phillips no TL 2.54mm MD

Urban green G10 wire clip 4-40x.210"
bright SS T9 torx no TL .110" MD

Delica 4 FRN
Endura 4 FRN
Stretch FRN w/vg10
These three models use the same screw size (lenth varies)
pitch is .4mm 2.22mm MD
I think it is M2.3X.4 thread. This size is out there.
OSG (major Japanese tap maker) makes several taps in this size. Unable to find a screw source. Don't waste your time like I did buy this screw from Spyderco.

Hope this chart helps someone

I know there is a replacement kit but I don't want to buy that for just one screw. Plus I am thinking of making them all philips head anyway so the kit would not help.

Thanks for screw information though
