Need to Color Zytel

I have a friend whose birthday is coming up. He used to be really into Pokemon so I thought getting him a Benchmade Pika would be a funny idea. I would really like to go the extra length and paint the handle to look like a Pikachu. However I do not know how well Zytel will hold any kind of coloring. Is there a specific sort of paint or anything I should try? Your suggestions are appreciated.

Yeah, I'm thinking about trimming the clip also to look like his tail.

The Krylon Fusion paints are designed to work well with plastics, although I'm not sure if that includes reinforced nylon resins or not. Whatever paint you use, put on an outer clear coat of some sort. This will help prevent wear on the base colors, and (hopefully) will prevent weaker solvents from softening the paint.
