I am looking for a smith who is willing to heat treat a new steel carefully. As in, with properly calibrated equipment and will not take any shortcuts.

I would like to have something done in MagnaCut and be able to contribute accurate data. If anyone knows of Bladesmiths that don't frequent these forums but fit this description please reply or PM me.

Thanks amigos.

I just received the new Magna cut I believe you are interested in and will be heat treating f this Saturday afternoon so feel free to email me if you like

It's not the oven that needs calibration, it's the heat sensor and read out. They can be seperate from an oven. Then there is also calibration verification of the sensor and readout. There is temperature mapping too. Then there's the heat treat conditions. That can take a bit of practice to make perfect.
