I have an antique heat echanger(Bennett Corp NY) that is built into my fireplace.(Cold air from behind the fireplace is heated and vented out the top of the mantle) The oval flexible pipes have rotted out. (only lasted from 1928). I need to replace them as the rest is integral to the masonary work and don't want to rebuild my fireplace..$$$$$$$$$$$. So I'm looking for oval flexible high heat pipe 1 3/4 X 2 1/2 OD. Sort of like the pipes you see on Duesenergs or old Hot Rods.

Any suggestions? I just spent 1 hour or so googling evrything with little results.

Perhaps you can use circular pipes and make an oval-to-circular adapter by squashing one end of a circular pipe section.

What parnass said.

Home depot has a bunch of oval to round duct adapters.

Also semi rigid dryer ducting may take a proper squishing and remain flexible.

But I seriously doubt they would hold up to the fire in the fireplace...at least for long.

I'm going to look into oval to round adapters. Thanks all!
