Hello all

I recently obtained a Warren Thomas liner lock folder that i know almost nothing about. It had a blade about 3 and 3/4 long, and a handle over 4 inches long. The blade is a sandwich of carbon fiber and steel -- a magnet will stick to it. The liner lock is carbon fiber, and it's held together with what looks like the chain eyelets, each about 3/8 to a half inch in diameter. The metak side of the blade has small black dots where the carbon fiber is bonded to the steel. It has the proper "WT" on the steel blade.

Anybody know what this one is called? Thanks.

I can't tell you much. All I know is that it is made from ATS-34. Does it have a tanto or a clip point?

Hello,

It has a clip point. Now that I'm holding it, I'll give better dimensions -- blade = 3 and 7/8 inches, handle = 5 inches. Calling this knife "sharp" would be an understatement. It's VERY, VERY sharp. Due to it's carbon fiber construction, it is very light. The mark on it is a modern looking "W" and a swiggle for the "T". nice looking. This is an incredible knife. I love it. It opens easily, and locks up well. The carbon fiber liner lock is something to see.

If Warren has a name for this model, I'd like to know it. I do NOT want to sell it. I got it for a low price, and want to hang onto it.

I plan on leaving it to my kids, along with some other custom made knives I have. These special knives should stay in the family. It has always bothered me when I see collection sold after a collector passes on. Don't you think the collector would have liked his better knives to be given to a grandchild, or a great, great grandchild? I'm making sure that everyone knows I don't want my collection sold off for mere money when I'm gone. Custom knives are too special for that fate, and this Warren Thomas is one that I want held onto.

If anyone out there knows how to get an e-mail to Thomas, please pass this along to him. I'd like to hear from him about this knife. Thank you.
