Need to know this machete.

I have an 18inch tramontina machete but it looks different than the standard ones because the blade part above the handle are thin to big at the tip. Is it a new design or what?
 
Their catalog lists it as Machete SKU 26631018 Bar Code 7891112068872. That's all.
 
Yup. Just a different pattern. They make a whole bunch of different styles that just aren't sold on the US market. Tramontina has a bunch of different national suffix versions of their website that display different items depending on the nation. Some items are only sold in some regions, and don't display on other versions of their site. So depending on what version of their website you look at you may see one and not the other, but that doesn't mean that they don't still make the other one. :)

I doubt that is likely to happen if used the way it is supposed to be used. Use it and enjoy it!

Don't see much point in this thread as the machete was identified in the picture posted by the OP. What's to discuss?
 
I actually like the looks of it. :cool: It should swing very easily because it widens at the end, giving it momentum without the oversize of a panga. Give it a try OP I think you will like it (it's not so thin, as opposed to wide, at the base of the blade to be a problem). :thumbsup:
