Hello all. I need to replace a broken element/coil on my Evenheat. Does anyone have a manual they can point me to? I couldn't find one using Google. There is a video on Youtube, but there's no narration and parts of it don't show what he's doing. It looks pretty straightforward, but this is something I don't want to screw up.

If you know the watage and length of coil you should be able to buy some kanthal wire and make your own coil.

In a pinch you can wind a small section of coil and jam it over the break to jump it.
My diy oven is currently in the state awaiting new wiring from Amazon. Diy knife maker central has a calculator to make a ccoil.you can also stretch a coil to overlapp the broken portion but they are very brittle cold.

If you have a coil and just need to replace it i have no idea.

I watched the video you referenced and it seemed pretty self exclamatory. Yes, a sound track would have been nice, but the images clearly show all the steps needed ... including the break-in procedure.

Calling Evenheat may also help. They probably have a manual or video available.

The good thing about someone like you who is pretty smart is they will learn most of what is needed during the take-down. I write notes and take photos. Redoing the coils is more of a physical pain in the ass that a technical one.

Thanks for the vote of confidence. I'll try to remember to document it and make a thread for future reference.

I replaced a coil on my Evenheat a month ago. Call their customer support. They will identify which part you need to order and talk you through the process. The hardest part was putting back the vertical pins that hold the coil in the back. Whole process took about an hour.
