Need some opinions in Spoyderco Szabo Folder vs. ZT 0561.

I own a ZT0551 and I really love that little knife. I'm guessing I'll have the same enjoyment if I got the slightly larger version (ZT0561).

However, the size of the Szabo really puts a smile on my face. I'm a bit worried about its lock though. Does the Szabo's lock feels flimsy (thin) ? I'd appreciate it if someone could post a pic of the Szabo's lock. I also have a Spyderco Navaja whose lock I do not really care for, because it's so thin. I just want to avoid the same disappoinment.

Opinions are welcome and thanks much guys :)

I'm not sure about the lock thickness, however I would have no fear of it failing under any type of use. Spyderco makes solid knives with solid locks.
On that note, the Szabo is a compression lock, not a liner lock. The compression lock is one of the strongest around. I don't think you could go wrong with the Szabo.
If you own a Para 2 or other Spyderco with a compression lock you already know it's a great locking mechanism. =]

Thanks BladeChick777 ! The problem is, I never had any experiences with compression lock, but I have heard some great things about it :)

I got a Szabo pretty recently after spending a bunch of time thinking that it just was not for me. Also my first compression lock. I haven't tested it (no spine whacks or laboratory for me), but I suspect that it is a stronger mechanism than most liner locks. I like it a lot, both the Szabo and the compression lock itself. The only thing I can think of to nitpick about it is that, only when using it left handed, my thumb has a tendency to migrate to the lock which could prove bad if I ever had cause to use it for its intended purpose. Luckily I am pretty much ambidextrous.

I have a couple Spyderco's with compression locks, and I'm quite sure I've read it's Spyderco's strongest lock, very close to the Axis lock in strength both of which are only beat by the Triad lock, so actually the compression lock should be able to take more force than a frame lock, frame locks and liner locks are simple and straight forward but they're on the lower end as far as strength.
