Hello All!

A little back story.

I've been a fan of Spyderco for quite some time but browsing the forums and seeing all the pictures has turned me into an even bigger fan. I have a few but I would definitely love to see the collection grow.

Here is my shameful list of the Spydies that I currently have:
-Tenacious PE with G-10 scales. It’s a great little beater knife especially for the price.
-Ladybug PE in H1 steel with covert tan (looks more like OD green) scales.
-Pacific Salt PE. Black blade and Black FRN scales. I can’t seem to keep this knife out of my hands. It’s so pretty and it just fits so well in my hand. I love the large blade too!

But like I said I’d love to see my Spyderco collection grow and I’ve had my eye on two knives, the Manix2 and the Native both in S30V. I wouldn’t mind having them PE but as you can see above I don’t have any blades with the SpyderEdge which for some reason I’d really love to have on either of these knives. Can someone give me a reason as to why I should or shouldn’t get a blade with the SpyderEdge?? Is anyone selling either of these knives or have them and can tell me a little more about them? Any other knife suggestions? I’d also love to see pics!!! I’m still somewhat of a newbie and I need help making a decision!

These knives have grabbed my attention so much in the past few days that I’ve been so tempted to just get them both right now! But I must make a smart decision rather than impulse buy…which I’m sure most of us here are guilty of.

Thanks for the advice in advance!

I don't have either knife to post pics for you. I have had Spydercos with the Spyderedge before though. What would you use them for? I find serrations better for some tasks than others( cutting rope, fibrous materials, plants) and plain better for other tasks. That said if you want serrations go for it!

I carry a small se everyday and a big folder. I carry a small se, either a Caly 3, Dragonfly, or Calypso jr bc it will cut just about anything.....something a pe won't do IMO.

I carry the small se in my lr pocket and usually can't even feel it in my pocket.

I use the small se when I around steeple.

I took a chance on an SE C67R 2, which has had my interest since I found the Nishijin sprint perhaps just a tad too heavy. I do find the weight and everything about the knife to be wonderful, save for that edge. My uses just don't include rope, leather, or fibrous anything, and my Stretch does all I've asked of it. Bottom line for me, I'd gladly trade this R2 for a PE, or even something else when I have the opportunity, LOL. In fact, cutting open the bagels a co-worker bought this a/m, I noted how smooth my Stretch was, compared to the serrated kitchen block knife I normally grab at home. Just reinforced it for me even further. YMMV.
