Few days ago I was surfing on few sites and found about what the page said that it was a Russian bayonet and I liked of the design and saved the pic of it however I forgot to bookmark the address. Now I want to know more about that knife. I believe that it is called Russian 1907a or Russian m1907a. I am also attaching the address where I placed the pic online so if any of you have seen it before tell me about it or leave the page address on this thread.

that looks kinda like a jambiya. Never seen a bayonet with a blade that curves up, seems that would put the tip up in line with the barrel. Also, I don't see any way to attaching lugs. Nor would I think a bayo would have brass fittings on the sheath.

But I dunno for certain...

I don't think it is a bayonet, it looks like a kinjal or kindjal, depending on who spells it.

I found a brief history for you, pulled from another website

"have always been under the impression that the kinjal probably evolved from the Roman short sword and that the Persian quaddara was the prototype of some of the very long 'kinjals', which it resembles in every respect except for size and, on some, inlaid Islamic inscriptions on the blade to the praise of Ali. Incidentally, the Persians (probably as late as up to the start of WWI) had armed some of their troops with a long, massive, single-edged weapon with multiple grooves near the back, and with a typical kinjal-style hilt. As I recall, the blade width increased somewhat toward the point, resulting in a rather wide curved cutting edge at the end. I have seen photos identified as a 'Persian doughboy' armed with such a weapon. The implication was that the weapon had been officially sanctioned in Persia and was in wide use. "
