I'd like to pick up one of these from Bass Pro, but really can't decide which. The 55 seems a little on the small side. What do you all think? (I got some gift cards for Christmas)

The 55 would be great for pocket carry, but I like the extra blade length and heft of a 110. I couldn't see a 111 on the Bass Pro pages.

When you think 111, just think 110 without a rear bolster. That said, if you are thinking of getting the 'Bob Timberlake' 111, I would pick that up so fast! A beautiful knife! In any event, I think that a 111 is a fine looking and performing knife.

Congrats Gmountain. We'd love pics when it arrives. ;)

I may start a collecting theme called "Bucks EEE does not already own". It would be a small collection, probably made up of assorted odd offshore sourced models and maybe a couple of factory rejects.... just kidding EEE (sort of). Great looking 111!

I hate you guys. After seeing this, I had to order the 111. What a beautiful knife to add to the collection. I'll post pics of my 110's and 111 after I receive it.

Me too! It looks like Bass Pro has most likely had a run on those 111's today and is wondering what the heck is going on. Gmountain; you need to get back with them and demand a sales commission. ;)

Congrats, Gmountain and Muddog! Of course you both realize that pics will be mandatory. ;)

Not missing very many offshore either.....got some canoes and Texas tooth picks comin' in.:D
I look for rejects too:D

You guys will be impressed with the Timberlakes.

Sweet knife! Price hurts a bit though. Need to try to see/handle one when possible. Has a lot of things I like about them that's for sure.

How is the fit and finish?

I'm not familiar with this custom maker. How is his service and rep?

Thanks!

Bucksway, I have been telling that to my wife for years now, but, alas, to no avail. Can I forward her to you as our new financial advisor??

I got my Bass Pro Shops Bob Timberlake Custom 111 today. Now that's a mouthful and this is a beautiful knife. The handles are a work of art and the hammered blade is really unique. The only complaint is that the sheath really isn't big enough for the knife. Even with some pushing and stretching, i don't think it will work. But it will fit the nylon sheath from another 110 just fine. I do intend to carry this knife just not mess it up and never loan it to anyone for a second. You never know what none knife people will do to a fine knife. I'll take some pics and post soon. And again, DAMN you, for pointing out these knifes I can't pass up! Blade Forum costs me more than a nice Mistress, but I probably won't get divorced for buying knives.

Hey Muddog-I just received my Timberlake in the mail too. It really is a neat knife, and beautifully made. Mine fits in the sheath too. The elk, and the burlwood fit together perfectly. I love elk handles for some reason. The chipped flint blade is very nicely done. When I get home, I'll take some photos.

My only regret is missing the 532 version.

Gmountain, looks good. Almost like mine :), I know they are all a little different due to the elk. I'm sure we will enjoy having them in our Buck families.
