I may sound like an idiot, but this past week I was at my dad's house, and he got a new shipment of timberlines in. the knife is great, and comfortable in the hand, but the lock is ompossible to work. the amount of manipulation invovled is ridiculous. I like new lock mechanisms as much as the next guy, but getting this knife open and closed is at least a 2 handed affair. too bad, it seems like a good knife otherwise.

I have heard it referred to as the "Nearly" lock. There was a thread about someone that got badly cut. He had washed off the knife and was shaking the water off of it when it closed on him. Apparently that kind of back and forth motion causes it to unlock.
