NEG feedback was left for me ...(I take pride in my feedback)
"FOILER" a new member was in talks w me for a Gift Card

I backed out after further consideration and I was feeling uncomfortable..
He left me NEG feedback for not following thru with the deal..
No MONIES exhchanged hands or anything of the such..

Just reported it thru Report a post icon..Maybe that will help with resolving this..

I feel he was bitter and gave me NEG feedback because he was pissed off..

--Need to get this blemish taken away..

Suppose he felt like he had a bad experience and thus gave neg feedback? :s Can't access the page though.

id be upset if i had neg feedback for not continuing a deal i became uncomfortable with.

the fact that the buyer thinks that they can punish him for not wanting to extend his neck before an agreement was made would look like a strong-hand play on the buyers part.

unless a price and terms were agreed on, no deal occurred, therefore, no requirement on seller to complete a transaction that was only being negotiated, but not finalized.

hhad it been finalized, buyer would have a leg to stand on, but it doesn't smell that way to me, from the information available.

I don't agree with what is stated here...unless an item or money has exchanged hands, the deal is not finalized. At any point up to an exchange of goods or money can the transaction be cancelled in my opinion.

Gizmoman, if for some reason it does not get resolved return the favor (may be childish) but you have way more positive feedback so one blemish is not as noticeable then a negative with his three positives.

I guess it depends on whether or not the feedback system is designed for commenting on deals or the people making the deals.

I agree with Dane. I would research the feedback and not rush to judgment because of 1 negative remark on an unconsummated deal.

If you reported it, Spark will take a look and reverse it if need be. Being that no money or property changed hands, I'd expect the negative feedback to be removed but like I said...it's Spark's call.

Your choice

Not that it needs done. But I can vouch for Gizmoman being a straight shooter in my deal with him.

Gizmoman is a Super Trader/Seller/Buyer. I recently dealt with him involving three expensive folders, and he was Excellent. All folders were exactly as advertised. Even though out of town for a few days for unplanned family business, he managed to call me numerous times until our dealings were finalized. Then, the shipping was immediate, and we were both happy. Nothing but kudo's for Gizmoman from me.
Looks like the new guy got miffed because Gizmoman chose to NOT accept the deal.
New guy should read the rules, and NOT try to destroy someone's reputation. The deal did NOT go through; simple as that. No harm, no foul.

I don't like deleting feedback unless it's absolutely undeserved. If you two can't work it out, I don't see where this one needs my intervention.
