Last year I gave my retired neighbor across the street an old axe-head I found in a garden-shed, today he walked over to show that he had got it all ready for action again. He cleaned the rust off and painted it up and got a new handle for it at a flea-market. I like sending things to good homes.

Ken is a retired diesel-mechanic and is in his 70s. He is the sharpest mechanic I have ever met. He used to do all the engines for a major trucking company and then later had his own forklift repair business. He also has a Plumb hatchet he used as a boy-scout back sixty-some years ago and a few other axes. He grew up in the boondocks in south-east Pennsylvania without a pot to piss in and carved a nice life out for himself.
