Received my Neil Blackwood Hybrid recently. It is the most beautiful knife that I've ever laid my hands on. I took these pictures http://www.PictureTrail.com/johnss but they don't begin to do it justice. When I can find something suitable to use for background I'll try to post better ones. I really like the shape of the blade and it truly is scary sharp! Fit and finish are excellent and the sheath is very nice too! Now I want to buy some of his other models:)
Thank you to all here on the blade forums who gave me advice on choosing a fixed blade knife(especially Steve Harvey who told me about Neil Blackwood).
 
Nice score! Neil makes a super knife. BTW, is that D2 or S30V?

Too bad you had the money to pick it up though, I am on Neil's list and just waiting for someone to backout on their Hybrid. Maybe next time :(

Looks like you'll be in for a loooooong wait. ;)

These are so nice. I don't think many will back out. If someone was smart they would make a production version.
 
Having just received one of Neil's D2 small tacs and being totally delighted with it, the small hybrid in S30V is next on my wish list. That picture on Neil's homepage did it for me. The man makes some fine knives. And super-snug, no rattle sheaths too.

Thanks for the review and posting the pictures. I've been quite busy these past few weeks, sorry for not checking this area sooner!! The Hybrid Model is now my most requested knife followed CLOSELY by the Neck Ninja. I'm also working on a Mini Melee, recurved double edge, 3.5" blade, based on the Hybrid handle. Pics soon :)

Blademan - Its D2.
I wish I'd been able to take better quality pictures - haven't had my digital camera very long. It will take some getting used to. If you haven't seen the picture on Neil Blackwood's website, check it out. Its much better.
