Neil Gaiman fans.... Stardust movie site (cool site!)

Walking Man:- Thanks for the tipoff about the website. "Stardust" is far and away my favorite Neil Gaiman fantasy and near the top of my all time greats list.

I can't wait for the movie to come out but have no expectation it will be nearly as good as the book. Who knows; miracles sometimes happen.

Show started yesterday....was down by the convention center today, it is MOBBED, biggest turnout that I have EVER seen on a Thursday, in 10 years.

Best Regards,

STeven Garsson

I was very happy to hear about this one, especially after his last kind of fell short of my expectations. There are rumors of an American Gods movie.

Either way, he is a great author, and I have to get around to seeing Stardust.

A little off the topic....Max. Otter, you are still on the Isle of Skye?

You were talking som months ago about having to relocate from what appears to be a beautiful, wonderful location to a larger city location....

Did you get a "reprieve"?

Hope it is all for your best!

Saw "Stardust" a week ago with the wife. She liked it although she hadn't read the book. I didn't think it was anywhere near as good as the book which is often the case with movie adaptations. Many scenes and characters which were in the book were left out of the movie and other things were added which were not in the book. That would have been OK if the spirit of the story had been preserved.

Neil Gaiman is one of the producers, so he must have had some input in the movie's production. I can't say it wasn't entertaining but it left alot to be desired.

I know I'll see it anyway, so thanks for the heads up. It's been a good while since I read the book, so hopefully, I won't be so disappointed.
