Yes they are worth it.
I have fondled a couple, but haven't bought one yet...A big YET!
Not made anymore, who cares or or knows why, but I bet someone on here knows..
Why is the umfaan not made anymore? Or are they coming out with a new proto???
This is a truly classy small folder made as a miniature of the Sebenza. Just over 3" closed with a 2-1/4" blade. They are all decorated the same with the anodized recessed circle designs. The blade is polished on the hollow ground area and the workmanship is, of course, Chris Reeve top quality. No pocket clip, these come with natural color leather slip pouch.
The newest knife in the Sebenza range from Chris Reeve Knives is called the Umfaan.
Named "little boy" in Zulu (the Native language of the area in South Africa where Chris grew up), the Umfaan is the smallest of the Sebenza range of working knives. Weighing only 1.5 oz., it is a neat pocket knife, easy to carry and easy to use. Like its larger brothers, the Umfaan features the Sebenza Integral Lock a simple but very positive and effective locking mechanism.
The Umfaan differs from the large and small Sebenzas in as much as the handle of the "regular" model will have a polished front face, embellished by a graphic design. This design changeS from year to year.
