Well, after some delay (and my complete lack of knife making mojo) I managed to get some workshop time in. First priority had to go to my 2000th post competition knife. This is for a UK forum I post on Bushcraftliving.com.
This is the first knife I've made in an age....but I'm really REALLY pleased with how it has turned out. I hope Neil will be too.
Its, as the title suggests, an EnZo Ursus (90mm O1 tool steel blade). The handle is some Eucalyptus Burl I got from a friend k.a. Hill Bill a while back. I love the 'tiger stripes'....perhaps its Tasmanian Eucalyptus??
First time I've used a 'cheats' bolster too....takes out A LOT of the time for me as I usually do these from scratch, although it did need some filing to get a good fit.
Just gave it a wipe down with Camellia Oil (all i got in) and could do with going down a bit further through the grades...maybe.
Anyway, enough waffling, here's the pics:
Sheath next....
Thanks for looking.
