I just thought I'd share a photo of my current knife project. I decided to try my hand at stripping and polishing by modding my 9. The finish looks good from a distance, but I think I went a little too aggressive with the sandpaper, leaving some scratches in the blade.

It also seems I may have accidentally convexed the blade! Lol. I guess that's not a bad thing. :)

Anyways, here's a quick pic of it. I'll post more when I get back from Kali.

Thanks guys! It took several hours over the course of a month or so. I stripped it with citristrip and tried several different grits of sand paper both by hand and using a small hand sander. I finished it off with a polishing wheel.

I don't have access to a shop(or even a garage for that matter) or the proper tools, so a lot of work was put into it. It looks pretty good, but I may work on it a bit more.

Looks great man. I just posted my stripped 9 yesterday. I said in that thread that I gave up on going for that mirror-polish because I could tell I would still be working on it into next month at the pace I was going. Looks like my estimating skills are still intact, even if my motivation to work on it for a month ain't! LOL

Great job though. Thanks for posting. Looking forward to more pics.
