Hi all. Well to break up the rat race a bit I have decided to get to working on a long overdue project. It's time to strip my (so far) all time favorite Busse. That's right... the NO-E is gettin' NEKKID!

So as I begin this journey towards inner peace how many of you prefer your blades nekkid? How many prefer them coated. Poll attached. Just having fun here. Feel free to post any pics of your favorites. :thumbup:

I ALWAYS prefer satin finishes. I have NEVER liked coated blades... and pretty darn sure I never will. :barf:

Satin performs better, looks better and is plenty easy to maintain IMO :thumbup: ...... (unless it comes with "Decarb" :thumbdn: ).

UNFORTUNATELY!!!!... I wish Jerry would sell satin blades at more reasonable mark-up. $200-$300+ for satin over CG is WAY TOO much!

$20-$40 upcharge for satin depending on size should be MORE than PLENTY!...

The Competition edges are nice, but the Competition finish (and it's HIGHLY rust prone "Decarb") leave a lot to be desired..... - rant off.

Go strip the gunk. :thumbup:

i like em both ways. the coating is useful and satin pretty. i'm also not much for the comp finish (though the edges are amazing). also not too fond of something that's only been stripped, but it depends on the knife

I stripped the blade on my NO-E, but left the coating on the butt. Looks great; I will try to get some pics up, but no promises!

For me double cut blades are the best looking ones. I prefer DC finish much more than satin finish.
