While surfing I found some really nice looking "Gent's" folders on KnifeArt.com that are produced by Nemesis Knives. According to the Nemisis web site the model is called the "Imp". I'm now curious since I'm always on the lookout for good "Gent's" knives. Does anyone have any experience/knowledge as to the fit/finish, ergonomics and performance of these knives. Any input will be appreciated. tf ;) Here are links to BladeArt and Nemisis: http://knifeart.com/nemesis.html http://www.nemesis-knives.com/index.html

I have seen these in person @ a local hunting store, and they are very nice.

I don't own one, but have always thought one would be very nice as a small, lightweight gentleman's knife. I don't know anything about the product, except for what I saw, and it seemed very nice.

You'll probably want to hear from others with more hands-on/owner experience with these knives.

Nemesis is Jeff Halls' production line.. I have one of his custom Bounty Hunters,, A fine knife, very fine, but it is chisel ground and quite large, I'm thinking about selling/trading for something smaller,, It was on the cover of Blade magazine last month.

Anyone else have any experience with these knives? I really do like the look of them but I'd like to know a little about the fit/finish and over-all quality. Also does anyone know whether or not it has a clip. I can't tell from the pictures.

BTT, I'd still like to hear from anyone else who has direct knowledge of, and experience with, the Imp. Anyone, anyone..... Bueller?

i like the arch ally on that site, thats a nice knife. looks like it would be quite usefull in a number of different roles.

These knives are available from True North Knives for $99. Look under production knives, by brand. The pictures are nice, but I’ve never handled the knife. If you call Neil he could answer any questions you may have. I’ve been tempted by these knives myself.

I had a Imp for awhile, till my sister decided that she liked it. I just let her pick something out of the collection. I'm very happy she got it. It's a well done knife, everything is perfect. If it was bigger (or atleast the handle) I would have had to replace it. I think the only thing it could have used would have been a thong hole. But really, I have no idea where Jeff could have put one.

It's perfect for her. The Imp is a great small handle and bladed knife. Cuts like the dickens. As to ergonimics too small for my hands, good for hers. The Imphas great materials, fit and finish is top notch (mine was William Henry or Reeve quality), easy to sharpen, looks good, and rugged.

Other than what I've said about it. The only thing questionable about the imp is if it fits your hand. If so you'll love it, if not order a custom from Jeff that's a little bigger. You'll be happy either way.

Thanks for the feedback, especially from saberman. I think you talked me into getting one. ;)

Santa gave me an Imp in Silver G-10 for Christmas. It's a cool little knife. Excellent workmanship. One small "flaw" - the anodizing on the liners do not match each other. One side goes from blue to purple while the other is all blue. Dunno if this is really a flaw, but it doesn't match the photos online, so I thought I'd mention it. After playing and carrying it around for a few days, I can say the following:

I wish it were a bit bigger - this is a small knife and is a little tricky to work one handed.

I wish it had a more substantial sheath. My main comparison are my Al Mar Osprey and Hawk, which come with really nice sheaths. After a few months of use, they get a nice worked in leather look and just feel like they belong in your pocket. The imp's sheath is thin black leather - similar to what you might find in a pair of dressy leather gloves. Over the last few days I've tried to EDC the imp but somehow it gets replaced by the Hawk before I leave the door.

I wish it had a more solid detent - what I mean is that I wish it was a bit harder to get the blade moving from a closed position. The thumb stud is kinda tall and I'm really afraid that if I carry this knife without the sheath that it will open on its own in my pants pocket. I'm afraid that I'm going to stick my hand into my pocket one day and cut myself.

On the good side, it's a really cool little knife. The blade is substantial and the design is really unique from other knives out there. It looks and feels like a custom.

I really enjoyed carrying it around on Christmas in the breast pocket of my fleece jacket. I think this is where it belongs. A nice small knife in an elegant sheath that is good for tucking away in a jacket or sweater pocket. It doesn't quite work with pants. I think I'm going to keep it, but it will never be my EDC in the office. Call it my dress up weekend EDC, I guess, with my dress down weekend EDC being a Kershaw leek clipped to pants pocket.

I got this one in black palm from TNK about a month ago. I am very impressed with the fit, finish, and overall quality. It is a small knife with no clip, but it is a beauty of a gent's knife. I am pleased with it for a $99 knife.
