Dear Friends,
WOW!! I am overwhelmed with all your emails, thoughts and concern. This is human power and I know it will help us conquer any natural disaster and give us the strength to prevail. I and my whole team are deeply touched by your very kind and genuine care and for all your well wishes. You all give us that HOPE that we really need at this time around. This is the first time I am getting in contact with the outside world. We had NO electricity, power and internet (everything dead) until now and we all even feared to get back home and stay. Although I can still feel some aftershocks I am back home as I had to update you all since you all care so much. We were in NO way prepared for this colossal disaster. My country is like a war zone right now and NEVER in my wildest dream had I thut I wud witness such a tragedy. We all had a lucky escape and to see lives and buildings crumbling in front of you was quite a deadly experience. My house got cracked, boundary walls came crumbling down and the only thing I cud do was run, run and run. Nonetheless, the best part is we all are safe and sound. KHHI is good too and even all of her staffs. Few of my staffs have reported their houses going crack and all but they are safe too. Kamis have nowhere to go so they have sheltered at KHHI hall. They are fine too but pretty much shocked at the moment. We stayed 1st night out in the open in a make shift tent but last night we had a terrible rain so we all moved to my garage and spent the night out there. Kids, wife slept in there and I slept inside my car. Quite an experience I must say which we never imagined and thus never prepared for it. Nepal govt. has declared State of Emergency and has declared holiday for 5 straight days but KHHI will remain close until tomorrow only. If all goes well then we will be back on our feet from Wednesday (29th Apr). I do hope things settle down fast and we get to live a normal life that we had just two days back.
OK folks need to go now.. thank you so much for your care and attention. I am really blessed to have friends and customers like you. You guys give us the strength and determination to carry on even we are a world apart. NO matter how big the disaster is; love, care and will can overcome such and this is called the Human Power, which you have given us and I know it can conquer anything and everything
. Nepal will bounce back
Thank you and Namaste,
SLT
