I don't know of any "small village in Nepal" with electricity, phone line and anybody rich enough to buy a computer and pay net charges.

Actually, the US Supreme Court confirmed the forced emmigration of the NDNs was illegal but Jackson didn't pay them any attention. Kinda like Janet Reno's Justice dept.

Yup - and these were the same Cherokees who helped him in his war on the Creeks. Now, if old Aunt Janet would do the same thing to the Clintons, we might have some interesting news to watch:eek: :D

Ben - Reality check. The elections in Florida (ANY Florida election) are always won with the same tactics. The main point of angst over this is that the Dems got out-Demmed on their own turf, and can't live it down. One of their own said, years ago, "If we lose one, we recount until it comes out our way". Tactics don't change. They are used by one side, or the other, but they don't change.

Ah, but it's not just the recount--also people being turned away from voting--all sorts of things. 11 Sept has rather (understandably) taken the attention away from the election aftermath, so a lot of things haven't made too much news.

In any case, it should be the popular vote which counts, not the 'electoral'. I'm not a fan of the Democratic Party particularly either, but Gore had some good ideas on the environment, &c. But I think Gore almost had to try to lose to George Jr....:( :rolleyes: George Sr.--OK, not my favourite, but GW :rolleyes:. Well, all I can say is I hope his Spanish is better than his English ;).

But I'm not a supporter of the Democrats either, so I don't want to get into too much political discussion....
