When the king first took power and promised to oust the Maoists I was optimistic. I was trying to envision a Nepal where the kamis and their families could go about their day without fearing for their lives. Sadly, it looks like this is not the case. I pray our friends at Bir Ghorka will someday have the peace they deserve.

I only hope they don't get themselves killed.

I knew the King was in trouble a year ago when this started. I only hope the country and people can come out of this someday as a democracy, not as a Maoist state- that would be disastrous.

In the meantime, support the kamis and keep buying khuks.
