not for the faint hearted. thought that some may like to see. looks like a khukuri in action. this is done as a sacrifice

Wow! Definitely NOT for the faint of heart, but of course, I had too watch it.

It was a clean cut that is for sure.

much more respectable than many of the other "animal sacrifices" one can see on YouTube.

quick, clean and reverent.

And yes, that is definitely a kukri (bhojpure, perhaps?) being used ceremoniously.

for those of us not youtube enabled.

'Care to share what you saw? I gather from the comments it's something Apocalypse Now'ish.

Basically, the video is a a scene which depicts one man is holding a goat on a leash in the front, another is holding the legs and a third man is standing behind the side of the goat, facing the camera. He pauses revently then raises his khukri and comes down in one clean chop which separates the goat from its head in a split second.

This is more a topic for the Cantina than for Blade Discussion (though they're probably already seen it).

There's top people in British history - including Royalty - would have been rather glad to be allocated an executioner of such competence.

Folks, we don't do this here.

I could just see where it might go, so No....

Good on you Uwinv! The policy of not showing any sacrificial pics of any kind here started with Uncle Bill from the very beginning and with Uncle Bill's policy not even still pics of this sort were allowed here on the forum.
Uncle Bill had copies of the pics and would email them to folks that absolutely just had too see them but he always said they were not for family viewing.

Perhaps Cougar Allen should be asked not to move threads like this here in the future.

Actually Cougar moved it too the right place seeing as how the subject was khukuri and Nepal related. Normally I would've been around too catch it a lot sooner, probably when it showed up, but didn't get online today until just a bit ago. But nevertheless Nasty caught it in little over an hour from the time it was moved here so it wasn't up here all that long, fortunately, so maybe there weren't any kids that got to see it.

i had posted the link up in the blade discussion forum as i had thought that its an insight into other countries culture and belief. Sorry if it was unsuitable and not in line with uncle bill's policy.

All settled...Cougar understands why I reversed his action.

Bill set the limit, I just echoed it.
