I was reading a report by some big wigs on the economic situation in Nepal today. Looks like Nepal's national debt has gone up tenfold in ten years. BUT, they have moved up to a per capita income of $220 per year and have moved up in poorest nation status to number 12!!!!

I think Nepal was 3rd poorest when I lived there. A couple of years ago they had moved up to no 8 -- and now number 12!!! That's progress.

See how good debt is?

My wife and I took out a $35K loan to open a second location for her business.

Within 3 years, her income had doubled.

The next year, it trebeled. The loan is now fully paid.

I hate to pull out this old cliche, but it is so true, it takes money to make money.

Debt is good. As sainted old Uncle Lou used to say you couldn't consider yourself a success if you were not at least a half a million in debt.

It is very true. As a new small business owner, I'm finding this out. Its hard to spend money you don't have, to get money that might not come, but it sure won't show up by itself! :D

That works in our personal lives also, when we are in debt to others for kindnesses we cannot repay them, but must be paid forward to others.
Continued repayment of those debts returns priceless rewards.

Maybe the IRS's cyberspace version of the Domesday Book? And that their bloodhounds have been augmented by DNA identification?
