Many big blades in the pictures!!!

I'm sorry, but we will continue to honor Uncle Bills wishes and not show these things on the forum.

the animal rights activist need to go home...This is sacred..long before their time...It is meant to be...Many hungry mouths will be fed...

hey I am an animal rights activist, but they are all be decapitated, it is just as reasonable as animal slaughter in the USA ( minus letting animals see others being killed)-- but really it happens over such a short period of time, I think the ritual is just fine and should continue as it always has. do not get me wrong, I am mostly vegetarian, but nature is not a painless enterprise, life must feed on life to survive and thrive, even if we empathize and sympathize with the things we must kill to survive( which I think is appropriate); we still must kill to survive, even plants cry out for help. ( seriously not even joking there lol)

plus I have a couple of really great old knives made just to decapitate buffalo

i absoutley respect your opinion...I can see that you understand...Any relatives in Maryville? My family is there...

can you imagine it must smell pretty nice when they actually start cooking all that meat!

Bill used to try to keep the pictures and videos of animal sacrifice off of the forum. He was concerned Westerners wouldn't understand the full cultural context of what was happening. People take offense at things so easily.

The world is changed since then. Now it is quite easy to find these types of pictures in various news accounts across the web. It may not be realistic to think that Westerners can be sheltered from these types of images.

Please be sensitive to the possibility of turning the forum into a battleground with animal-rights activists. Yangdu or one of the other moderators may yet decide to lock this thread down or remove it. Until then let's try to avoid any of the potential difficulties that used to concern Bill.

well I think we can all act grown up about it, as it is the culture of the craftsmen we respect so much ! good points though sir

personaly i will be interested if someone can name few of the blades that the people use.
For example on pic 4 & 6, what type of blade the person is using? I never saw on similar to that.

On pic 8, that is some giant AK:thumbup:
