My Nepali is quite rusty... but I think the lyrics are something like:

Sorry ladies, my first love is khukuri
I love 'em more than fellers too, Mario Lopez-lookin' guy!

:D

What....LOL!!!!
I've been listening to different Genres of nepali music for a couple hours now and i've gotta say that most of it isnt too shabby at all.
I think i'm starting to like the fact that i don't understand a word of it.... and the music is quite good.

Just got done listening me some nepali Rap/hip hop :D

What struck me was how similar some of it sounds to Indian pop music... but then there's a lot of shared culture there, so it shouldn't be surprising I guess.

Like mamav, I like hearing new stuff. I thought I had a pretty eclectic ear, but one day I heard some Burmese Saing Waing music by Ywa Sa Sein Chit Ti and thought my computer was on the fritz! The timbres and time signatures were so exotic...

That was awesome, CS!
It also amazes me how similar this type of music sounds to indian music.....but it wasnt too surprising cuz like you said theres alot of shared culture there.
What did kinda surprise me though, was how much i like it..... i'm a classic rock, 60's and 70's era kinda guy. Maybe listening to the Grateful Dead has softened my ear more than i thought.
I'm also kinda wondering how many UFO's that guy could call with that drum thingy (close encounters style.) that thing is Cool!.

Adding Red Flower's video of the sarangi player.

The link above works. Text below this point records all futile attempts to embed this video.

I can't figure out how to have it show in the post as a video instead of just a link. Any clues?

Since this is a Facebook video, if you go to the video in Facebook, there should be an option to "Embedded this video". Choosing that will provide HTML code which you should be able to paste into your forum post.

Already tried that. Just tried it again and left it in the post. I tried pasting the code into the text, and linking the code both as a video and a link. None of those three attempts worked.

Later- tried linking as an image as well. That didn't work either. I think I've tried all the editing buttons available.

Now THAT I'd like to see! You could have another Burmese fella playing Super Breakout on a big screen in the background... you know, for the visuals. :D

I remember the 1st song, Mero Hatma Khukuri was played in CS's review on Youtube.

Ah yes... dunno if anyone considers dicing a pumpkin up a "review", but I did indeed use a snippet of "Mero Hatma" for one of my vids. One can't NOT use it, or think of it at least.
