lol no jens, just saying being a poor relatively primitive nation ( many many still subsistence farm), right beside a massive nation with over a billion people known for its corruption, can probably influence the amount of corruption going on inside nepal. all we know for sure is that rich arabs exploit nepalese workers, and nepali workers are fairly regularly mentioned in international reports on worker abuse. I am sure along with the arabs there are some nepali and indian people, did not mean to make it sound like indians are hiding in the scams directly and pulling them lol.
same way mexico is adversely affected by having a very rich drug using nation right beside it-- driving the cartels.
and very good point jen, this would not be an option if they did not feel it was a necessity to go off and work -- nepal has only in the last decade lost its king and had several government upheavals, I am pretty sure maoists still operate in the country too .
