Nepal's political unrest?

I have to admit I have not followed much of what is going on in Nepal, and I know Yangdu has concerns about getting shipments out of country.
Honestly my real concern is the one Uncle Bill had about the working people of Nepal, which of the two warring factions are supposed to be the best for the worker's?
It seem's our congress wants to be involved with everything that goes on around the world, I would like to know which side I should write them about supporting.
Yangdu, really, what's best for your people?

Good question.
Not the 'maoists' or the King, in my opinion, are 'good' for Nepal. If the chaos and destruction the Maoists produced drives the Monarchy to a more open electoral system that would be a good thing. The King suspended the parliment (or elected body- or whatever name) But the Maoists seem like ignorant murderers to me.

IT is chaos and I don't see it ending soon.

I'm afraid you're right, Munk. 40+ years ago we were taught "counter insurgengy", the ideal situation was to find a common complaint of the population, expand on it and in the middle of the turmoil insert your plans or people that could effect changes to accomplish your desired results.
Looks as if someone has learned that pretty well.
Thanks
