I'm giving my fourteen year old nephew a skeletool for Christmas. I'm thinking that the funky design will appeal to him. Hopefully he'll get some good use out of it. If I get any feedback I'll pass it along.

Here are some pictures I took before wrapping it up.

I ordered one for my Son, he is 11. Unfortunately it did not make it here in time. I also got a Freestyle too, that did not make it her ein time either, for Christmas. I hate slow shippers!

Leatherman tools are awesome and I expect nothing but excitement when my Son does get his ;)

You are one cool Uncle by the way

I was thinking to get myself Leatherman Freestyle CX for $45 when regular is around $31... But I think 154CM steel in CX version is better than regular 420HC in regular version is worth of the price difference. Thanks for pictures guys.

Thanks for the comments. He seemed to be suitably impressed. I know I would of loved something like that at his age...Shoot, I'd love it now.:) Hope everyone had a very Merry Christmas.

Only you know what multi-tool is right for you, but as I recall the Freestyle only has the knife blade and pliers. If you need/want more tools you might want to consider the Skeletool or even some of the Juice models if you don't want a full size multi, jmo. Good luck and let us know what you get.

BTW, I recently got a Wave and think it's great.

I want to carry something else than fullsized Leatherman Blast (Blast is quite heavy) or Leatherman Pulse. I think with Victorinox Cybertool 34 + LM Freestyle is pretty good combo. Most I need just pliers and blade. Victorinoxes pliers are very small and more suitable for smaller and lighter jobs while with Freestyle I could add light tool with heavier set of plier and a good blade. Skeletool is not out of question too. But I probably go for Freestyle CM due its improved blade steel. Juice S2 is very tempting too.
