I'm still somewhat of a newbie to pocket folders. Fell in love with the Sebenza design. I've been searching all topics here and been a lurker for awhile. Mainly researching which blade shape to purchase.

I finally decided to order the Sebenza 21 Insingo blade option from KnifeArt. The order confirmation literally just landed in my email.

I plan to use this as my go-to hard use EDC and for it to last me virtually forever. I suppose I'm reaching out in hopes that I made a perfect decision for an EDC blade... Though there's still a tiny voice saying I should have gone with the regular blade style. Thoughts?

IMO the insingo blade shape is the way to go. No worries man! I think you made an excellent choice.

My next CRK will be an Insingo. I think you made an ok choice!

I'm waiting on my large 21, and I debated on going with the insingo. The only reason I didn't was because I didn't want to chance it on my first CRK. I'm sure it's every bit as awesome as everyone says.

Thanks gents. I'm glad to be welcomed with open arms here.

To further back up my decision... I'm the cook in the house. So my knives see plenty of cutting board time. I also work in the radio broadcast business. So I'm always slicing or stripping cables on the fly. The up-curve on the standard blade made me concerned that I'd have slippage in these tasks. Otherwise, this will just be a pocket folder and see other uses around the house.

I have a great time with my CRK Umnumzaan. I'm sure you will with your Sebbie.

Thanks bud! The Zaan looks like an incredible folder. It's next on my list once I recoup funds. I enjoy tactical-type gear, but don't always love the look of tactical designs. The Zaan seems to wonderfully marry the two worlds.

The Insingo shape is the best CRK shape available, in my opinion. I carry one every day.

Insingo is my favorite edc blade shape. My large Regular (discontinued model) is my favorite knife overall.
The Insingo is a wonderful new take on the sheep's foot / wharncliffe blade shape.
Awesome slicer and easily the best CRK blade shape for food prep.
Being new to pocket folders, I always remind those I gift knives to....you have to carry it to be able to use it.
My own worst mistake I make around the house is taking out my knife when I get home and forgeting to "re-arm" my pocket after I change clothes.
I think you made an excellent choice given your kitchen time as well.

Thanks so much bud. Eases my massive purchase of this blade. Can you speak to the performance of the tip of this blade. Can it handle detail work or even heavier uses?

I forgot to ask OP, what size did you order. Small or Large sebenza? I have both. The small is much better for detail work imo. The large besides the obvious seems more "squared" than the small. But both are adequate for most detail work , task dependent.
When I carry my large micarta insingo, I sometimes will drop in my pocket a very small slip joint, sak, etc. for any fine detail work.

its the handle that makes it the blade could be kris and it would be aint none of yall better.

Thanks for the link that referred me back to the performance overview. That's awesome!

I went with the Small Sebenza 21 Insingo. The thinking was...this is a huge purchase and decision for me and I wanted a blade that would last and never fail at an EDC task. The Sebenza answered all of those. Plus it is so damn sexy! The large standard blade might be in my distant future, but it would just be on the large side for pocket carry IMO.

It really does not matter which one you ended up buying. You will inevitably buy the other as well.
