Hello Bladeforums,

This weekend was the 5th annual Herb Kettel and Nick Rossi Basic Bladesmithing class at the New England School of Metalwork in Auburn, Maine. Six students went from bars of 1095 to finished knives in four days. Everyone did fantastic work and we all had a great time. Every student is an established artist and I have included pictures of some of their work that they brought for show and tell. I would like to thank School Director Dereck Glaser for the facility and the trust that Herb and I wouldn't burn the place down.

Looks like a great time--wish I could have made it. One of these days! Oh, and I would love to spend some time on one of those "real" belt grinders--my little 1x30 is already getting really old.

Cool Pix's!!!:thumbup: I have to make ti up there really soon. :D
You Guys have a open invite to my shop also.;)

We would love to have you. Herb and I usualy bring both our Baders from home and the school now has three Baders and a Hardcore. It gets pretty abrasive.

You're telling me!

Steve is unstoppable. Our expectation was that every student had a blade forged on the first day. Steve had three done and they were perfect!
