OK. Here is a pic of the Nessmuk hatchet Cegga made me. Boy, he's gifted!! Now. I've been staring at it for weeks trying to come up with an impressive dual carry for a Nessie and the hatchet too. I can't get any traction on this at all.

If anyone has any ideas... I'd love to hear them.

Maybe make an axe sheath with a cross draw canted sheath affixed to the outside? Not sure that you'd want it completely horizontal without extra retention for the nessie. Or perhaps same type of concept, but make it vertical to the axe-head and just make the axe sheath longer down the shaft. I hope you can make a mental picture if that made sense. -Matt-

Wow, that is one nice axe!

How can I get one of those? and if you don't mind my asking, how much did it cost to have it built for you?

FB,

Did you put the handle on? What are the specs?

I did put the handle on. My first experiencing hafting an axe. I shortened and reshaped a handle that came on a very old hatchet that I got off ebay. The handle is 10" long. I added a lanyard tube and lined it with my FR4 inside brass tube. I really like the look of that. I'm not sure of the weight. Less than my Wetterlings mini though.

I don't know if Cegga is making an quantity of these. I'll ask and find out whether I can give out his contact 411. (If you poke around on different forums, you can probably find him.)

That thing is beautiful!!

I have been trying to get in touch with him for quite some time. No luck! I will continue because I need on of his axes in my gruby paws. He is a craftsman when it comes to steel. Very nice buy Fiddleback. If you can point me in the right direction for a contact Fiddleback it would be apprecaited.

Does this help?

Or a less tooled version of this?

You just want the axe and one knife right?

That combo screams baldric rig! Riding low, on off side, knife in front, axe in the back. Not as low as say belt level, but knife handle butt just above belt. If that makes any sense...

Hahaha oops! Sure hope it doesn't take him that long to make up his mind about a sheath. And didn't know you could find the post date, that's quite helpful.
