This is an ax I just finished up. Its made along the lines of the Nessmuk ax but to a customers specks. Edge to edge its 5 1/2", cutting edge's are just under 2 1/2" and the haft is 15". I've got a couple more I'm working on that are real close the exact measurments of the Nessmuk ax. The haft on this one is oak and the head was forged from a solid bar of 1065.

Yes this is 001 mainly since the customer wanted me to number it. I made one simular a few years ago but not quite the samething. This ax was done to his specks. Here's a couple that I'm working on at this time: http://www.bladeforums.com/forums/showthread.php?t=417174 Both are real simular size wise to the original Nessmuk ax. These are the approx. measurements of these two. 5 1/2" edge to edge, 2 1/2" at the pole with 3" cutting edges with one edge being alittle stouter than the other. With you being in Washington are you comming to Blade West? If so you can take a look at what I have. I should at least have one of the new ones with me. BTW I'll be doing the knife forging demonstration at the show at 1pm Saturday, Sept. 16th.
