I have read, researched, and pondered over what I really want in a good outdoor utility knife. Many here, and on other forums have advised me and others on the "Nessmuk" pattern knife. I finally found the one I wanted to complete what I feel is a good outdoor kit. combined with my Vic "Farmer" and my GB SFA I am ready to go.

Forged 1095 steel with some forging marks left.
Thuya burl scales
Flat grind with a convex secondary edge

Take a look. Comments welcome!!

I have been loking at this guys work for a while and think I am going to have to try one of his knives. They look like good solid, no nonsense designs very well made, what do you think? Chris

Matt makes a nice solid knife. I am using one tommorow to cook Thanksgiving dinner for 20 people.

I have a custom on order from him that I am really looking forward to- it is kind of an idealized camp knife design that I have been wanting for quite a while.

A good Nessmuk is indeed handy!

Well. I't ain't purdy. Then again, purdy rarely pays the bills, so NICE GRAB!

Looks like you have a nice addition to the outdoor kit. Keep us posted on its exploits in the great outdoors.
