Netflix or Blockbuster

I'm thinking about getting a subscription to one of these. My primary interest actually for doing this is getting videos of MMA, kickboxing and old boxing classics, which you can't get around here. I see that Blockbuster has 50-60 titles from Pride, UFC, and KOTC, as well as a bunch of old Ali fights. I haven't been able to tell if Netflix has a simlar selection. I know a bunch of people who have used Netflix and like it. Is Blockbuster as good?

I know thats a pretty specialized interest, but figure that both have plenty of regular movies and I'd be equally happy with them for general viewing. Thanks.

Before you join, have you seen if your local Blockbuster can order those titles for you to rent?

No, I never even thought of that. That's a good idea though. Thanks.

I tried netflix once it was pretty cool. Though one of the movies i received was broken literally the dvd was broken in half. I guess thats the Mail for u. It doesnt help that they only put it in paper envelope type packages. They could at least have put bubble wrap around it. But other than that it was ok. Though I only tried the free offer thing they had goin for a while.

I love netflix- they have an enormous selection and I have had zero problems- if you get a dvd with damage you just mail it back and they send you a new one (I have as yet to actually have to do this- but thats the procedure).

They didnt really "fight" at all I just mailed it back to them and i havent heard from them since. Which is ok with me it was FREE.

We've had Netflix for about 7-8 months. No problems, nothing we haven't been able to find, nothing but 100% happy with the service. Two thumbs up.

So they didn't charge you for it on your credit card?

I started with Netflix about 6 months ago. I love it! I can't stand Blockbuster retail stores, they are staffed by people that don't want to be there(or at least they act that way) and only stock new releases and some various other movies. So when I decided to go online I took that prejudice with me and chose Netflix over Blockbuster, for no other reason than I didn't like the service I had received from a different branch(retail) of the company.

So far I've been pleased with Netflix. We received one broken DVD and it was no hassle and certainly no pressure and most importantly no charge. I sent the disk back marked as damaged, and reported it online and they sent us a new copy out the next day. They never made us feel like we were trying to scam them(we weren't) or that they didn't "trust us".

They have everything I could ever care to watch. And yes they do have most of the recent UFC and Pride DVDS, but they do not have them all.
