As i await my Neutron 2, i have read and watched lots on the knife and its positives and negatives. The one concerning thing i see blade going off center from doing something as simple as cutting a zip tie. Im probably very off base but that puts the idea in my head that its a flimsy fragile tool. I am not planning on doing hardcore tasks with it. I have other knives for that, but am i going to have to worry about the liners flexing from cutting a thicker piece of cardboard or some zip ties like ive read? Folks who know, please educate me.

I don’t have one but would like to snag one at some point. However I went through the neutron pretty thoroughly the show. They actually had the knife with liners only and no scales to show that you can pick out n swap scales without taking the knife apart which is pretty cool. But I did notice the liners are very thin since the knife is very thin so I could certainly see that being a problem with and lateral torque. Titanium scales may help with that.

However I think the knife is designed to be a slicer and it seems to be great at it as well as being an excellent edc. I think you’ll be in great shape if youhave other knives for harder use.

And I really only responded soi could say…

GEAUX TIGERS!!!!

Hey I’ve had a Neutron 2 for a few years now so I’ll share a couple thoughts. From my experience, it’s been super solid for normal edc tasks. The thin blade stock makes chopping cardboard, food prep, and other slicing tasks a breeze. I’ve never had an issue of it becoming off center after use, but I’ve disassembled mine and applied my own lube and loctite. It definitely isn’t designed to pry open paint cans and things of the sort, but for day to day edc tasks you’re golden! Don’t stress it!

I've used mine quite a lot and not had any issues, nor any particular worries. I haven't beaten on it, but I've also not hesitated to use it for whatever tasks have come up.

TRM knives are definitely not pry-bars, but keeping that in mind, you should be a-ok for most cutting tasks. You shouldn't have any issue with cardboard. I'd be hesitant to try cutting really large/thick zip ties with my Neutron, but have no problem zipping through thinner ones if I have to. I have an OG Neutron, Neutron 2, Atom, Nerd & Atlas and none of them have shown any propensity for going off-center with normal use. TRM is also great about 100% standing behind their products.. if you have any issues (not that I think you will), reach out to them directly.. they will take care of you.

Thats good to hear. I dint pry with any of my knives unless its a thicker outdoor use knife. Im more excited now.

This is the same for me. Got mine and after some use it was flexing and creaky because screws came loose. I disassembled it, cleaned, lubed and use the smallest amount of loctite possible. Its been rock solid and dead center since

The only downfall I see is that its so thin and weighs nothing that I keep forgetting its in my pocket. Because of this it was been washed twice with my jeans. Even a dryer cycle and its still rock solid. Smells like fabric softener now! LoL

Well mine is up for sale now. I love everything about it except the thumb studs. I dont want to order o rings but they kill my fingers so im moving it along. Im sire the o rings make it a damn near perfect edc
