I have just spent the last hour of my life installing a pair of scissors on a SOG MT. Man, that was an extremely frustrating exercise.

Granted I did manage to achieve it in the end but its gotta be one of the most painful and irritating experiences of my short life.

If I EVER buy another SOG MT and right now I highly doubt it, you can be damn sure it will have the scissors already installed!

I did eventually go to the site to look for instructions but by the time I'd uploaded the video I'd pretty much nailed it. The frustration came in because I first of all got the tools in the wrong order and then just when I thought I was home free, I reliased I'd forgotten the darn lanyard ring!

In the end I just put the lanyard ring on the outside. I dunno if its supposed to go there, but I damn sure couldnt get it to fit on the inside...

Everything is just so small.... :grumpy:

I'm considering buying a SOG Powerlock, but one thing that I'm not a fan of is that their instructions limit you to changing out only 2 tools, while I would rather change out the Knife for the wire stripper

best thing I've heard (and I wish I did it doh ) is make sure to mark/draw/take pictures of it "before" you take it apart! detailed/close-ups of it.

then it's much easier, make notes of washers and tool placements and orientation and it should be better.

The problem is you have to take out two tools for the scissors to fit. I was going to remove the blade, as I always have at least one knife on me anyway, but I also had to remove the V-cutter because I wanted to keep the bottle opener. Which probably gets the most use of all the tools after the pliers and the scissors. :D

I never liked their scissors at all! they couldn't cut nothing for me.

so I switched them out for the V-cutter and that works great for me ;)
