Never give up on an Ol timer

found this old timer stashed away in my old saltwater tackle box, well after a little elbow grease and a sharpening this Ol timer is dangerous again :D
anyway just thought i would share .:thumbup:

It looks like you may have saved it before it was too late. Looks like there's still some life left in it. It's sad to see the condition it was in.
 
just go's to show you a little elbow grease and some time! in the mid 70's i had some real old timers before they sold this comp.said to say i gave them away,wish i owned them now!vary hard to find the true-old timers now a days,yours looks nice,hang on to it.

yes wish i would have caught it sooner ,but i totally forgot about this poor knife and yes its crazy how something so common at the time becomes a collectors item !

I've had several get like that after just a couple months - the old Schrade carbon steel would start to rust in a day's time if I wasn't careful.

On the other hand, I like finding them like that at flea markets & garage sales. They usually end looking as good as or better than the OP's knife; not because of my mad skilz, but because of U.S. Schrade's use of rugged, quality materials.

My door is open to any all old U.S. Schrade rusty tetanus farms. Send 'em on over! :)
