When I got my cqc 7 I said I would never need to buy another knife.

When I got my cqc 15 I said now I will never need another knife.

When I received my Persian I said that I'm not a collector and I definitely don't need anymore knives.

Two days after getting my Persian...I have a la griffe and folding Karambit on my wish list.

The moral of the story is never say you'll never need another emerson because you'll end up with five more.

LOL - Like the progression of thought. Reality is that you were screwed right after No. 1 knife.

I started with a CQC-15 almost three years ago. At the time I had a ton of other folders and fixed blades form various brands. I started to feel out what I liked and what worked for me and I always kept coming back to my Emerson. Now, I only have one knife that isn't an Emerson and I don't see myself buying any other brand again. They are addictive, no doubt about it.

Excess funds, or no self control? But you will not grt cerosis of the live from over drinking.

In my case, no self control, and definitely not excess funds.

If I had more money, I'd have more Emersons!

But not many more. That's the beauty of them. A couple of them (or even one) is all you really need.

Notice I said NEED, not WANT. ;)

Well, just don't do what I do and have a celebratory drink after making a sweet trade for a CQC-7.......

....I have a second on the way >>after<< a trade. Yea....I have to get my collecting straightened out.

I have told myself many times that a knife purchase will be my last but it never works. I have never spent more than I could afford but have spent more than I wanted to. Haven't bought anything other than Emerson recently.
