....But I have to admit, I've gotten to acclimated to one hand opening on other knives, I ordered a couple of these to try and I do like it.

Knife is the 154cm and charcoal dymondwood built out from a few years ago.

I get that part. But would like a little more granularity in terms of Kwik as a product. I was thinking of putting one on a buck vantage small!

I do, it's very well made, a little smaller than the old 'one armed bandits" from years ago.

Went on in seconds, once you find the best spot for you, you just tighten the small set screw with the included hex wrench and your done.

They make them in brass, stainless and black, I got a stainless one also for my nickel bolstered 110.

I plan to order more, one thing, so far it does not work really well with the nylon Buck sheaths. The leather ones are a little better, but it does catch on them to.

That's very cool I'm going to pick a few up. Right now I have a zip tie on the vantage as a do it yourself wave. Will be interested to see how the Kwik product works! Im kinda hoping the stud would catch the way that a zip tie would. Thx!

I have them on several knives including my Bucks. I was worried that the stud might come off if I pushed too hard. My fears have been allayed, though.

I like it, it seems functional and not to rough like the pyramid style of some knives.

I put thumbstuds on all of my 110's. The s30v was the hardest to drill through but the carbide bit won the battle

While at work for one hand access I put my 110 from the sheath pinch the blade then snap the body of the knife open.Works great:thumbup:

It's what Spyderco fans call "the spyder drop". I wouldn't mind trying one of those sheaths where the blade is partially open and fully opens when you draw the knife out.

Sorry to bump an older thread, but does anyone have any updates how these are holding up or how you are liking them. It just doesn't seem like it would stay put. Did anyone decide to take it off after some use? The brass bar version looks like it would fit better in the sheath.

I love the 110, but I do miss the ability to open one handed.

I've had the stud on a few 112's (finger groove and non FG frames) for maybe a year (?) and they work well for me and stay put. I have an extra put away for our Grand son's first Buck.

The thumb stud didn't fit in either of my sheaths. I could MAKE it fit but I declined. jstrange, I was skeptical like you when I ordered my first studs. But I have not had any problems with the studs on multiple knives. Back when I flicked knives, it wasn't an issue. I even have one on an Opinel but it required a thing carboard shim.
